Social & Welcoming

Statement of Purpose
The Social & Welcoming Committee exists to promote relationships among staff and families through the organization and coordination of social events. The committee provides opportunities for members of the school community to interact in an informal setting. This committee also helps to welcome and orient new families to the St. James School Community.

Responsibilities
1. Provide refreshments at Home & School Association meetings.
2. Provide refreshments at school concerts and programs.
3. Help coordinate Grandparents' Day and Kindergarten Round-Up.
4. Plan and coordinate social events for Catholic Schools Week.
5. Plan and coordinate other school-wide events during the school year.
6. Propose ideas for events and report on attendance at bi-monthly Home & School Association meetings.
