Public Relations and Development Committee

Statement of Purpose


The Public Relations and Development Committee exists to promote and market the mission of St. James School within the community for the purpose of student recruitment and retention. The committee also seeks to obtain supplemental sources of funding in order to improve and expand the learning opportunities for students.

Responsibilities


1. Review and update the school brochure annually.

2. Contact local media concerning special events (Catholic Schools Week, Kindergarten Round-Up, Carnival, etc.)

3. Develop support for St. James School from neighboring parishes.

4. Develop recruitment and retention strategies.

5. Coordinate the Annual Fund Campaign under the direction of the principal.

6. Produce the Annual Fund Spring Newsletter and Fall Report (Good Tidings) and distribute to all stakeholders.

7. Investigate ways to increase the Endowment fund (grants, major gift solicitation, etc.)

This group meets monthly.
